'INTERNATIONAL SRAVANAM WEEK"
On behalf of ISKCON PHOENIX, we would like to share with you ISKCON's GBC resolution Titled:" Enhancing the culture of reading Srila Prabhupada's books globally"
The Ministry of Education has appealed to all centers/temples/congregations to participate in the "INTERNATIONAL SHRAVANAM WEEK"
From 3rd to 9th September 2020
*A week dedicated to enhancing the culture of reading Srila Prabhupada’s books globally*
Our Yatra, ISKCON of Phoenix understands the importance of the reading of these books, not only to help us advance in our spirituality or Krishna Consciousness but they are also a guiding tool to live a civilized life, a guide to understanding what is really important for our spiritual & human development. After all, we are fortunate to have this human body with the capacity and intelligence to receive the Lord's message and the one that has been passed throughout the ages in the disciplic succession (parampara system). Srila Prabhupada, very kindly translated these instructions, this nectar in English for the benefit of all, not just for the benefit of some.
So let's take advantage and take a chance, who knows, we might just find the answers to the questions we've been asking for years.
If you have not yet taken advantage of the ongoing reading programs (via teleconference, Zoom/Facebook Live), we hope that this campaign will inspire you and join us. Let us know how may help you.
