Prayer Vigil for

Hindus attacked in Bangladesh

What:        The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and other Hindu organizations are holding a prayer vigil with traditional chants and music requesting the Government of Bangladesh justice and security for Hindus and other  minorities who have been subject to repeated attacks of violence in  Bangladesh. 

When:            11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Date:            Saturday Oct. 30th, 2021

Where:         Kiwanis Park - Ramada #13

Details:         A prayer vigil, in conjunction with hundreds of events across the world, against the recent violence against Hindus in Bangladesh will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Kiwanis Park (Ramada #13) in Tempe, AZ.

Since October 13, 2021, in 30+ districts across Bangladesh, 300+ Hindu Temples and Deities have been demolished or vandalized, at least two Hindu priests were killed, Hindu women raped, Hindu houses were looted and burned, and thousands were injured and displaced.

Quote:          “The Hindu community is shocked and saddened by the recent violent attacks upon the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, including our ISKCON temples and members,” said Anuttama Dasa, ISKCON Ministry of Communication.

 “We call upon the Bangladesh government to take swift action to bring an end to the violence, punish the culprits behind these vicious acts, and to take tangible steps to ensure the long-term safety and well-being of all Bangladeshi minorities.”

Globally:      Major protests are being organized by ISKCON and other organizations in 100+ major cities of the world including New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney, London, and Brussels.
